FRANK MEADOW SUTCLIFFE

Voici qqs photos de Frank Meadow Sutcliffe, un photographe que j'aime beaucoup, il a photographié autour de Whitby, à la côte du Yorkshire du Nord entre 1875 et 1910. Regardez ces photos des pecheurs avec leur fameux pulls et les tricoteuses (regardez bien la première photo, je crois qu'il porte des chaussettes super hautes). My favorite photographer is Frank Meadow Sutcliffe. These and many more photos were taken in and around the fishing village of Whitby between 1875 and 1910. Whitby is on the North Yorkshire coast, a beautiful place which I visited with my friend George a long time ago. There is a gallery in Whitby which sells Sutcliffe prints, I have a few. Here are some of the Fishermen wearing the typical sweaters (and stockings, I believe, in the first photo) and women and girls knitting.
